Amid recent global changes, should Canada continue to endorse a balanced ‘three pillar’ approach to its foreign policy objectives, or should the current balance be adjusted?
Canada is a country of immense resources and should not be worried about trade. We import beef yet we are rich in beef. These manipulations are purely economic and only add to the coffers of a few while making the whole world poorer.
Security is not a consideration in a world where our technologies are motivated by a desire to make our world a better, more fun and more interesting place. We have to stop basing technological advancements on killing and profit.
Fewer and fewer people believe that Sept 11 was anything more than a manipulated excuse to declare war on any country or turn democratic countries into police states through the use of the buzz word “terrorism.” I don’t feel that security issues have changed other than we should fear the manipulators of these events and question motivations of those who gain from these deaths.
