Should Canada seek out opportunities for fostering global intercultural dialogue and interfaith understanding?

Answer:
Absolutely! It is critical for our security that we should be aware of how we are perceived by others and for us to be aware of the culture and characteristics of others. Western Governments rarely ask how they are perceived in the world, rather, they prefer to focus their efforts on defending themselves from the disenchanted.

It is the Christian Faith which has formed our collective values and influenced the fundamentals of Canadian society and tolerance is a strong component of that faith. Knowledge of other faiths and cultures leads to greater understanding, tolerance and acceptance of differences. Where faith and cultural values are strong, there is no threat in knowledge of or contact with that of others.
