In order to ensure that the benefits of globalization are more widely shared within and among all countries Canada should develop and implement legislative mandatory legally enforceable rules that would prevent Canadian corporations from investing in conflict zones where such corporations are likely to be complicit in or to benefit from egregious violations of basic international human rights and humanitarian law that are perpetrated in the course of the conflict.
