Gossly lopsided prosperity can cause tornadoes. Every one should have enough & no one should have too much. But defining the upper limits may well be impossible. Lower limits are a little easier: we know quite well when we're cold or hungry or when we feel useless or disconnected.
If we want our foreign policy to work from high moral ground, we'll make sure our own citizens, who have plenty, share with those who don't have enough & then we'll try to do the same with other nations, when we have more than enough. This may be especially important in regard to natural resources. Firstly, we must make sure our citizens use our land & its resources ONLY for our common good (not for making anything whose sole purpose is destruction)! Since people are perhaps our most precious natural resource, the exploitation of workers must be unthinkable! If we can do that for ourselves, we will be in an excellent position to help end extreme poverty in the world. So that everybody gets a happy ride!
